About Our School

About Spanish Springs Elementary School

At Spanish Springs Elementary School, we are proud to carry on long-standing traditions that bring our Otter community together. Schoolwide favorites like Otterfest, Fleecing for Friends, and Tie-Dye, along with beloved grade-level traditions such as the Wax Museum, Great American Awards, Nevada Day Parade, and milestone celebrations like the 100th Day of Kindergarten and the 101st Day of 1st Grade, create lasting memories for our students and families.

We value strong community connections and provide opportunities for students and families to come together through Art and Science events and a vibrant PTO that hosts popular gatherings like Bingo Nights and the Monster Mash event.

Our greatest strength is our dedicated and highly experienced teaching staff. Many of our teachers have 20 or more years of teaching experience, and many have been part of the Spanish Springs community for 15 years or longer, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to their classrooms. We are proud to have seven Nationally Board Certified teachers, with three more currently working toward this prestigious credential. In addition, numerous members of our staff hold advanced degrees, demonstrating a continued commitment to professional excellence and student success.

At SSES, we blend tradition, community, and educational expertise to create a welcoming environment where every student can thrive.
